Lecturns in Native Oak

These oak lecterns were intended to match the existing Victorian choristry, but also to be easily moved. The design was thus based on a light structure, given the appearance of substance by the use of edge cappings. The pierced gothic tracery and relief panels were based on the existing woodwork, and the edge mouldings, profiles and cappings were rescaled from existing timber and stone mouldings in the church.
